Might be going to Walt Disney World during December for Christmas!!!
Our family friends are considering going down for Christmas. My family might go with them or my mom and I will go for a long weekend. I’ve been to SeaWorld during Christmas and it was very pretty but I’ve never been to Disney. I’m excited. Since I don’t have any classes in the fall, only thesis credits, I’ll be able to take a couple days off with no problem!

Star Tribune: The Minnesota Senate has voted 37-30 to legalize same-sex marriage. The vote took place on the heels of a vote last week in the House. The measure now moves to Gov. Mark Dayton, who sign it in a ceremony at 5 p.m. Tuesday. Once it is signed, Minnesota will become the twelfth state to legalize same sex-marriage.

Black Girl In Suburbia (documentary trailer)
Black Girl In Suburbia is a feature documentary that looks into the experiences of Black girls growing up in predominately white communities. This is a different look into suburbia from the perspective of women of color. This film explores through professional and personal interviews the conflict and issues Black girls have relating to both white and Black communities.
Black Girl In Suburbia intends to spark an open dialogue about race, identity, and perspective among all people, in hopes that these discussions will allow us to reconsider perceptions of ourselves, others and the communities in which we live and share.
